Lifts

Lifts are an essential element in a building. Very often the impact of the vertical transportation system within a building isn’t understood until they go wrong and the effect can be disastrous especially in taller buildings.
At the outset it is essential that the right number, size and speed of lifts are selected and LECS (UK) Ltd have years of experience of calculating the needs of a building. If the specification isn’t correct at the outset it can be very difficult to put it right later.
At LECS (UK) Ltd we also have years of experience in knowing which types of lifts will provide longevity by virtue of their quality and those which are appropriate for different environments and we will be able to guide you to the right solution with independent advice as we have no commercial interest.
Once the lifts are installed they need to be maintained properly to keep them safe and reliable as well as to achieve the maximum longevity available from such a high capital cost item. LECS (UK) Ltd can assist by undertaking maintenance audits or statutory inspections to ensure that this is achieved.
After a few years you may be considering the modernisation of your lifts to extend their working life. Again, we at LECS (UK) are able to assist you in deciding what works to undertake and when to maximise the life of the lifts and minimising building and/or business interruption.
Finally, you may be considering buying a building and need to know the financial risks associated with the lifts. LECS (UK) can undertake an independent survey for you in order to establish any risks involved in advance rather than finding out once you take possession.
